PIR, LCDs, and Webometers
Several new examples were added last week including:
- How to use Passive Infra Red Sensors (PIR) to detect movement - I use one of these to stop my screen saver turning off the display when I’m near the desk but not at the computer
- A basic LCD driver which allows an LCD display to be ‘driven’ from a file - a video demonstrates this much better than any writing can
- Webometer - A cross platform python example that can display unread mails/number of twitter followers/temperature - or other numeric data scraped from the internet on a 7 segment display attached via phatIO
